"The ability to add and remove devices at my leisure is fantastic, with the old system we had to fill out a form to remove all devices then add every device back on, now I can add my family’s phones when they visit and don’t have to worry about logging back in on mine!"

FAQs

FAQs

Gradient Banner.jpg

How long is my contract and what happens after the contract term is up?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

We offer a 12-month contract to all customers. We hope you’ll want to stay with Connect Wi-Fi once your current contract ends. We offer different options for signing up to a new deal with us, or you can continue to pay for your account on a new monthly rolling service.

Gradient Banner.jpg

We only occupy our holiday home for 8 months. Can you offer an 8-month contract?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

To obtain grant funding to pay for your installation, subscribers need to enter into a 12-month contract. We believe our prices are low enough to reflect the season length.

Gradient Banner.jpg

Does the service include a phone-line?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

No, our broadband packages are exclusive of phone line rental.

Gradient Banner.jpg

How soon will I know if the grant has been obtained?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

You will be informed by email from a GOV.UK address that your grant funding has been approved and you'll be provided with a link to follow to confirm once your service is working.

Gradient Banner.jpg

I already have broadband, does this mean I will pay for two packages?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

If you already have broadband you can save money by cancelling your current connection once your new service is live, dependent upon what contract you have with your current provider. Keep in mind that if you still want the phone line, you can keep this with your current provider.

Gradient Banner.jpg

How does the installation work?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

Our engineers will book a visit to your home and connect you to the brand new superfast connection installed on site. This can be done either by connecting you to our Full Fibre connection we’ve laid to your home or by installing our gigabit wireless connector to the outside. The team will then connect up your new home router inside, installing all necessary equipment as part of the service and making good afterwards.

Gradient Banner.jpg

Is there a usage limit or limit to the number of devices I can connect to the network?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

Our broadband packages offer unlimited usage with no cap on the number of connected devices. You may experience slower download speeds if using several devices at the same time.

Gradient Banner.jpg

If I encounter an issue, who do I call?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

Our friendly technical support team are based in the UK and are available 7 days per week.

Gradient Banner.jpg

What is the difference between Camping Connect and Connect Wi-Fi?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

Gradient Banner.jpg

How are the wireless receivers powered and how big are they?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

Powered from the router which will be installed in each premises
The dimensions are 88.9 x 132.08 mm - this is the equipment.

Gradient Banner.jpg

Can I choose where my router and receiver go on my home?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

You can request where you'd like your router installed in your home.
As the reserve is a line of sight depending setup - we cannot allow you to decide where this needs to go.

Gradient Banner.jpg

Will the Router have an Ethernet port for direct connection to a TV or other devices?

shutterstock_589199351 [Converted].png

Yes, the home routers provided come with 4 Gigabit LAN ports which can be used to connect wired devices. Check out the specification here.
